Dairy Free Royal Icing
This royal icing is one of the best royal icing imposters I have ever tasted! I really can't taste a difference in this icing and traditional royal icing and it still has the same beautiful silky consistency as other royal icing recipes. This recipe is perfect for all of your holiday cookies or as a sweet drizzle over cakes or cupcakes. Enjoy!
- Pour 1/2 cup of the non-dairy liquid coffee creamer into a medium bowl.
- Start with 1 cup of powdered sugar and mix with a whisk or electric mixer.
- Keep adding more sugar until the desired consistency is acquired. NOTE: The amount of powdered sugar varies according to what texture and thickness you want your royal icing to be. Use less powdered sugar for a looser icing used for flooding cookies. Use a little more for regular decorating purposes. Use even more for the border for a flooded cookie. Enjoy!
